An 8x8 game at ten updates per second was close to the maximum
capability of the CPU.  The limiting factor appeared to be the delivery
of the packets through the wireless driver.  I'll give it another try
using the wired NIC.  There was no evidence of memory limitation, with
all 18 processes active there was still a reasonable amount of free
memory from the 16MB.
