I had successfully built/installed the server a few days ago into /tmp
so I was going to build and install it for real this time so I did a
'darcs pull' from Quozl's repo and ran tests/build and now it dies!
argh. here is the output and fatal error is at the end:

zu22 at netrek:~/src/netrek-server/Vanilla$ ./tests/build

# test that current working directory matches darcs get expectation
if [ ! -f autogen.sh ]; then echo "build: run in wrong directory"; exit 1; fi

# where to build
#BUILDROOT=/tmp/netrek-server.$$
BUILDROOT=/home/zu22/bin/netrek-server.$$

# copy the repository there
darcs get .. $BUILDROOT
Copying patch 188 of 188... done!
Finished getting.

# go there
cd $BUILDROOT/Vanilla

# build configure
sh autogen.sh
You should add the contents of `/usr/share/aclocal/libtool.m4' to `aclocal.m4'.
autogen.sh completed ok

# configure
./configure --prefix=$BUILDROOT/out
