Message-ID: <3A633E59.7BBE86D0@lucent.com> Purpose: as much as people discuss about DD being a sucker ship, why not experiment this in a clue game? What's next?: Next week, I will call another clue game with a different theme, (e.g. team SC vs team DD, team AS vs team BB, or team DD vs team BB) Any suggestion will be nice! leemy (who started netrek career as a DD twink because the DD was the default ship in the client that I first used, and didn't know how to select other ships) From kbernatz+ at pitt.edu Mon Jan 15 15:05:55 2001 From: kbernatz+ at pitt.edu (Kevin M Bernatz) Date: Wed Jan 12 00:36:01 2005 Subject: [Clue Pickup] Clue Game this Sunday! While this is true, I think the idea that an all-DD team could beat an all-CA team is too silly to grace with such a game. Now, all-DD vs. all-BB or all-AS, there are at least debatable points. -Tom From zu22 at andrew.cmu.edu Mon Jan 15 15:26:25 2001 From: zu22 at andrew.cmu.edu (Zachary Uram) Date: Wed Jan 12 00:36:01 2005 Subject: [Clue Pickup] Clue Game this Sunday! References: Message-ID: <3A636DB4.A354EF86@lucent.com> Good points. For this game, I'd like to adapt the hockey clue game pickup style of picking teams. First 16 come get to play, and 2 will volunteer being captains. There will be a coin toss to choose which captain gets to choose first, then captains will pick people out of the pool of 16 players (and will reserve observers, because first show up should play) pick order should be the follow, a b b a a b b a a b b a a b a b (Ob Oa Oa Ob for observers who are willing to participate) Hope this works, and if it does then we will continue this tradition for upcoming SC vs DD, DD vs BB, and more to come. leemy Zachary Uram wrote: > haha how bout all-BBs vs all-SCs that would last real long > [chuckle] > > On Mon, 15 Jan 2001, Tom Holub wrote: > > > On Mon, Jan 15, 2001 at 04:05:55PM -0500, Kevin M Bernatz wrote: > > > > On Mon, 15 Jan 2001, Yomyung Leem wrote: > > > > > > > > Any suggestion will be nice! > > > > > > If the clue level is not balanced, the entire result will be > > > meaningless. The BB's rewl the front, of course, but they have great difficulty bombing or anti-bombing, and if the AS's get to OT (as they did) they have the big AS advantage. It's one worth doing again I think. As for Berkeley weenies, I think I was the only one. The BB team had some very strong players, including jive and Erik if I recall. -Tom From neilson at usc.edu Tue Jan 16 19:51:59 2001 From: neilson at usc.edu (D.
