Quoting KEVIN M BERNATZ (kbernatz+ at pitt.edu): > The current incarnation of clue-pickup is next to useless. Postings don't > show up for days after they are sent. Can this please be fixed since it > defeats the entire purpose of having this list (as exemplified by both > Martin's and my posts on the clue game). Since anti-spam features where activated on the list, as requested by the list members we have the following side-effects: 1. If you post to the list from an email address that is NOT subscribed to the list, that post must be approved before being delivered to list members. 2. If you post from an IP address where the forward lookup does NOT match the reverse lookup, that post must be approved before being delivered to list members. 3. If you post and your IP address, FQDN, or domain name is in one of the following RBL databases: relays.ordb.org sbl.spamhaus.org spamhaus.relays.osirusoft.com blackholes.mail-abuse.org dialups.mail-abuse.org relays.mail-abuse.org that post must be approved before being delivered to list members. I should have disregarded the "old" posts that I found in the approval queue. That is my fault. But mostly what I find in the approval queue is of type #1 postings. If you are subscribed to the list, postings should go out immediately. -- Bob Tanner <tanner at real-time.com> | Phone : (952)943-8700 http://www.mn-linux.org | Fax : (952)943-8500 Key fingerprint = 02E0 2734 A1A1 DBA1 0E15 623D 0036 7327 93D9 7DA3
