The most common causes are firewall software, firewall hardware, network address translation gateways, and ISP filtering. Things you could try; - try the Netrek XP client, - add the "portSwap: true" line to netrekrc, - turn off UDP in netrekrc, - configure your firewall to allow UDP packets, Hopefully someone else will have some ideas too.
