it's not inconceiveable. take someone known for contributing to an open
source project like apache, ask them to help make a make a decision, and
if they agree to help, both sides present their arguments and counter
arguments, then the arbiter decides.

  You mean an FOSS admin would volunteer to direct the Vanilla project?
  I never heard of this before. Why would they do this if they have no
  interest in or connection with netrek?
