Has fixed the leak.

VSZ of 1672 at start,
VSZ of 1780 after 83 connections,
VSZ of 1988 after 1943 connections,
VSZ of 1988 after 2823 connections.

Conclusion: the default Red Hat V6.2 install leaves NIS enabled in the
/etc/nsswitch.conf file, resulting in memory leaks during reverse host
lookups.
