Well, Netrek's predecessor Xtrek predates these games.  It's also possible
that Netrek is the first real-time internet game based on a client-server
architecture.  Correct me if I'm wrong, but the above games (including Xtrek)
used peer-to-peer or multiple X clients off a single machine.
